St Patrick's Day is held commemorating a yearly celebration reminiscing St. Patrick, as an honorable saint of Ireland. It is celebrated in Ireland and all over the world, including Canada, New York, London, and various other famous places. Celebrated on March 17th, the event brings with it a host of events, fun and galore.
With its advent, the cities are surrounded by green color. This holiday gets its charm with inhabitants dancing, singing, drinking, having food, parades, and participating in several joyful events. The Parade is a Must See:
There is no St. Patrick’s Day without the traditional parade. Like every other year this year, Charleston is organizing a parade on Tuesday, March 17, and is the biggest parade in South Carolina. With the March kicking off at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church at about 9.30 A.M, don't forget to put on your best St. Patrick's Day outfit; otherwise, you’ll miss the fun. The parade will go through Radcliffe St. and Saint Philip St. and is going to end near St. John the Baptist. Don’t miss the fun.
Flag Hoisting:
At around 11 a.m., the people will gather and will show respect towards Ireland and Saint Patrick by raising the tri-color Ireland flag. With marching bands, traditional songs, green candles, and fireworks, they enhance the national holiday's beauty.
Party! Party!
St. Patrick’s Day is all about a party. After the parade and flag hosting the real party will begin. If you're fond of music and dancing this day is just perfect for you. Charleston with arranging Irish step dancers, the city is bound to entertain you. Also, they are going to play traditional Irish music all over the downtown.
